RE: Debating: 101 - Saikou - 12-19-2013 Thanks for this informative thread, it even made me laugh a few times. RE: Debating: 101 - latex_op - 12-22-2013 Nice guide here you got man. This is really worth a sticky.
RE: Debating: 101 - Fallen - 12-23-2013 Logical fallacies and rules are not enforced and there's no objective way to define these rules. RE: Debating: 101 - LindaKay - 01-13-2014 Thanks for this very helpful thread. I think more people should read it. One common trend is for people (not here, just in general) to start attacking one another because they don't agree with each other's views. That's wrong; we're all entitled to our opinions. RE: Debating: 101 - pandandesign - 02-18-2014 I took a semester of Debating when I was in college. It wasn't a required class or anything, which I just took it to improve my speaking skills. It was a challenging class because I had two people in the team, including me, to debate about something against the other team. It was hard because it was timed and we were not allowed to say something like uh, huh, oops, and something like that. I had fun though, and it was an awesome class. |
