RE: Childhood Memories - Nil - 02-25-2014 I loved my childhood and still have so many vivid memories. Thinking back on it is glorious and gives me one of the best feelings ever and it saddens me not all of you can receive that same pleasure. Maybe because I didn't stay inside too much growing up so I had more time to experience and have fun. I can't choose just one memory but obviously one of the best is the first time I received my Pokemon Red and put that bad boy into my gameboy. Me and my classmates still do it. We steal signs and my classmate puts it on there home. We also do that on malls. Also in Jollibee we steal tissue paper. Then go on a trip and throw it all over the streets. We also transfer the cases in the girls C.R. Let's just say, we were like this fucking gangster squad, going around destroying treehouses, smashing windows and breaking into abandoned buildings. And this one time we had snuck into the containers at the middleschool where we were going to start 2 years later. Then out of nowhere comes the principle of the school and asks us to come into her office. Then after about 10 minutes our parents show up and take us home. Only non-retarded thing bluey can remember from his childhood, other than only being able to use the internet 20 minutes everyday because fucking dial up internet was expensive as fuck, and that time was spent talking to my friends on irc which used a lot of bandwidth. ![]() Anyway, my childhood memory was putting a chair on it's back and then sit down on it then imagine it was a space ship or a race car. Also when turning off the lights I run as fast as I can and jump on the bed so the feet grabbing hand under the bed can't grab me. Also plaing hide and seek with almost all the children in the street at 8-10 PM. I also make spiders fight on a stick. Tying the bed sheet on the window and imagining we are in a base camp with my sister and pillows as sand bags. Playing with a Top. I have a lot of childhood memories. I'd like to tell my unpleasant childhood memories if you guys want. XD RE: Childhood Memories - lux - 02-25-2014 Must try to refrain from writing a depressing paragraph about childhood was easier etc. Well, my childhood was okay. I was bullied, but I had some good friends. I remember it as me being a chubby, loud child who adored maths and always struggled with English. Oh my god, I'm so flattered <3 ================================= My own childhood was fairly volatile: My mother was a drifter and my father abandoned the family at my birth. We ended up traveling around most the western hemisphere until finally settling down in Coral Gables two years ago. (Therefor about 15 years~ of constant movement.) She had a crazy girlfriend who would beat me when she wasn't around and any accusations later would yield further beatings from my mother. Throughout the travels she would still adopt the motherly attitude, so by circumstance she taught me rather xenophobic ways along the lines of "The world is a horrible place and only wants you to die", so I ended up being wildly antisocial in both fear and hostility. A rape attempt to which I narrowly escaped at the age of eleven really didn't do any good in proving her wrong (Though I learned I'm a true chimp when it comes to climbing, so I have that going for me). As time went on the physical harm lessened and the emotional damage increased, me hearing onto her chatting with others that I have become "Too big to hit". Yes, apparently if you hit something enough it becomes strong, who knew? The things that made everything go downhill was my grades beginning to fail more and more in middle school and mischief being my more primary activity(Clogged every toilet in the school, cut classes and fell asleep in the library, etc.) until, for two years straight, I got F's across the board in high school. I dropped out, got my GED (with "flying colors" I've been told), and got a job. I now go to college ( Age:19 ) and am failing again, considering getting a full time job to fund my quest to detach myself totally from society in an attempt to be 'happy', fending off my chronic depression and possible schizophrenia, to which if failed I will probably just kill myself. Being an open book is fun on the internets, though obviously I've never told anyone this in my real life surroundings. //EDIT: As for my pleasant childhood memories... Well I can't really remember much of them, and most were torn down soon after creation. (IE: When I got a Christmas gift. It was a nice gameboy color on which I played my first video game. A week later my mother literally threw it out the window in a fit of rage.) Needless to say, I am not fond of my roots. RE: Childhood Memories - w00t - 02-26-2014 To give you all a decent image, I first tried to kill myself at 7 years old. I don't exactly have many happy memories. One of the only ones I have from early childhood was when we moved and I learned to surf. The rest were all whilst heavily intoxicated. RE: Childhood Memories - Crypt - 02-26-2014 My most vivid memory from when I was little was a hallucination that I had. I was laying down in bed until I wake up to a sort of pecking noise at my window. I turn over to look at it, and woopdy fuckin\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\' doo, a crow flies into my room. lol. Another one of my most vivid memories from when I was little was a nightmare I had. I just got home from a store (in the nightmare, of course) and I went upstairs, I laid down, and my closet door slowly opened. Out came a one eyed, slim, tall and green creature. I was absolutely paralyzed with fear. I couldn\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\'t move, couldn\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\'t talk, couldn\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\'t even close my eyes. The last two are both when I experienced a series of dreams when I was 10-11. They were all about demons. Demons demons demons. Because at the time of course, I was curious and I watched a lot of videos about demons, spirits, ghosts, etc So, In the nightmare, I was told that there was a recording on my phone. A recording from a demon. Of course I picked up my phone, pressed play and listened to it. This was even more terrifying and paralyzing than the last one. I literally felt like there was a demonic presence amongst me. Even to this day, the thought of that dream sends chills down my spine. In the last nightmare, there wasn\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\'t much I remembered. But of the little I remembered, it was very clear. I looked at myself in the mirror and there were words written all over me. I didn\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\'t nor could I read the words due to it being a dream, and happening somewhat fast. My body was deformed, split into many pieces floating in mid-air. I screamed at the top of my lungs, and suddenly, I woke up sweating. Now I\'m 13, and can hardly remember any of the dreams I have. Although out of curiosity I\'ve been trying to achieve astral-projection as well as lucid dreaming. RE: Childhood Memories - Uzinero - 02-26-2014 I don't really have many childhood memories, much like Bluey, I got into computers at an incredibly early age, which I actually do remember perfectly. The first time I used a computer, I was 3 years old. My dad was playing Max Payne on it, and I started watching and thought it looked incredibly cool, so asked if I could have a go. I played it for a little while and have been hooked ever since. Around a year later he bought me a PS2, and the things I remember most from when I was a kid, are playing games on my PS2 and my brother's and dad's PC, since that's how I spent most of my time. On Christmas 2007, my dad gave me my own PC for my present. It was really top of the range at the time, and I absolutely loved it. Spent every single day on that PC for a couple of years, until it was too old to handle the new games, so I switched to playing on the Xbox more than anything for a little while, until Christmas 2012 when he bought me a new PC, that I'm currently using now. Anyways, most of my memories were actually of playing CoD2, GTA 3, NFS, and a hell of a lot more games on my PC and PS2 throughout my childhood, and then on PS3 and Xbox 360. I never really had anything else to do throughout my childhood either, so my PC pretty much became my only outlet. See, my parents are kinda overprotective, and I've only ever been allowed to go to one friends' house without them throughout my entire childhood, and that wasn't until I was 13, and was only because he was less than a minute walk from my home. A few things I remember throughout my childhood which don't focus on computers: The first one is I remember my parents arguing..A lot. I remember me and my brother sat in my room, playing MoH on my PS2 against each other with the volume up high to try and block out them constantly arguing..Didn't really help though. I remember vividly playing with Beyblades a lot with my brother, and how my dad used to buy us new like, tournament stadiums for them, forgot what you call the things you use them with but yeah, I remember my dad buying us a few of those and some cool stickers to put on them, as well as some of the cooler beyblades. I remember playing WWE with my brother on the PS2 a lot, and us getting up early every Saturday morning (or sunday morning, can't remember which) to watch Dragonball Z, as well as watching it any night that we were allowed to stay up late enough. I have a lot of memories of my mum being a completely psychopathic asshole (but those are stories for another day.) I remember when I was planning to get a cat from my friend when it was born (had already paid for it etc. because their cat was pregnant.), I was like 10 or 11 years old I think, and I remember the day after my cat was born I went to see it, and it was so small and cute, when I held my cat for the first time, her whole body fit into the palm of my hand. I still have that cat today around 5 or 6 years later, and it's still the cutest cat ever. I remember not having many friends, but being good friends with the ones I did have. For some reason things got weird near the end of Primary school though. See, in Year 4, all of my best friends were in the same class with me, but one of them left school because he was moving home, and all of my friends were moved into the other class, so for the first time since we began school, we weren't all in the same class as each other. For some reason that I still don't quite understand, when we came back to school, once all my friends were in the other class, they wanted nothing to do with me, and instead hanged out with the people in their class instead and stopped talking to me. So I made some new friends, and at the end of Year 5 we had the summer holidays, when we came back we were in Year 6 and all of my new friends were in the same class with me, but for some reason they never wanted to talk to me anymore, and wouldn't ever speak to me. I never understood why this happened, especially two years in a row. I remember when I was in around Year 3 and Year 4 in school, me and a friend of mine started a small gang, which I was the leader of (Watch out, we got a badass over here. lel.) We basically started as just me and 1 friend, and ended up a gang of around 5 people, we used to get the people we didn't like to help us win in games, etc. and similar shit and if they annoyed or insulted us we got the people in our gang to help us beat them up. This was a rarity though, that sort of thing only happened if someone came up to us and started insulting us or trying to attack us, we were mostly peaceful, and more of a social group of friends than an actual gang. I remember we used to have wrestling tournaments that ended up getting banned by the school too. We had a small deck in the playground of my school were 15-20 of us would all have a huge fight. I shit you not, I was the undefeated champion. Mostly because I went a step further than most, see, we all copied moves from WWE, but most people only did things like the grabs and knocking people down, I used to do all the moves where you would pick people up and slam them on the floor, lel. I remember when I was 4 years old, I tried to commit suicide by suffocating myself in my blankets, but didn't know how. And my best memories are when I went to the Silverstone F1 Grand Prix with just my dad in 2009 and 2010.
