For the purpose of this yeah, you have an infinite amount of either kind of ammo.
But you have to take into account the sound that a shotgun makes when you fire it. That shit will attract zombies left right and center.

Are you saying a perfect ally to contrast your skills, or just in general? But yeah, first and foremost I'd protect my family at all costs. The worst part is I don't see them surviving very long unfortunately, so I will most likely be on my own. The worst part about the apocalypse would be having to slow myself down to protect my family. It'd be a constant battle between saving yourself, or risking your life again to save a loved one.

If I found a close friend that I know is smart, and physically able to keep up, I could tag along with him. There's strength in numbers, but not with idiots who don't have the survivor mentality. I wouldn't want to risk my life with them.

Personally I would just go. My family lives in a relatively rural area and and they know who to go to. I know they'd be safe so I'd gather what I need, maybe a few friends who could defend themselves and go. I have plans for the zombie apoc and the way I have it planned sticking around would only make things tougher.
