If OTP is required and they will deliver without even asking, well your DNA on a clean account should have good chances to work; otherwise you need to work another method that is not DNA

I have spoken with the one of the lady officer from police department her name was Lily and she informed that they are unable to validate this crime reference number so in this case you need to visit their website and need to apply for the status of the report and once you receive that email get back to us with the copy of that we will proceed with this and as of now you need to wait for 50 days from the date of delivery to proceed with this
I got enough of their bullshit.
I’ve been contacting them through phone, through chat, email etc.
spoke to police got crime reference number and all I hear is some random copy paste stuff that they cannot validate.
What shall I do now ?
I went with EB in the end of the day as lots of people succeed even with bigger items recently. I just said that I had some trash packaging inside.
The stupid stuff is that they told me to contact them in September and gave themselves a10 days window from specific date, and after that window they’ve said they can’t do anything.
opt was required hence why I did not do DNA

Interesting there is another post with identical situation - EB, police report, unable verify, wait 50 days etc.
That is in addition to quite a few other reports in the last few months (search the forum)
It seems to be increasingly common for amz to play the long game nowadays.

This makes no sense. if you never SE them in 5 years.
You have to call them not chat, If you call them the agent will put you on hold and coordinate with a supervisor to assist you.I would call them if you haven't stating your issue again.
You are more likely to be asked for PR if you through chat first. EB and DNA are treated same way by Amazon (item not received), so you can EB bigger items. I have EB monitor. It just depends on your amazon account status and if it is been flagged for too many refunds.

Did you ship to your regular address that was used frequently with the account?
Also, the first time you contacted them was it through phone or chat? I have been asked for a PR on chat but then I called and they processed a refund right away no need for PR.
If you have already provided a PR number to them then they will be keep on telling you to wait to verify it though. If you didn't maybe you could have asked for a supervisor and they might have helped. You shouldn't have this issue with an order less than 1k on this type of aged account.

Order has been placed for below 800 , I’ve contacted them through chat first, then followed up with phone call.
They keep telling me to wait till September.
I’ve provided them with PR, and I keep hearing to contact them in September…
Which is a bit of a joke.
Never had any refunds on account, order has been placed to one of the three places that I normally place orders to.
And I got this acc since 2016 with plenty of orders

I’ve spent hours on the chat, on the phone to them, talking to some management team apparently yesterday for An hour . They all saying same story , can’t validate PR please contact us later blah blah blah. And to contact them after certain date.
What do I do for them to validate report?
Besides can Police Station even give them any information based on Crime Reference number ? Isn’t that against data protection rights?
I’m a bit stuck in here and sick of this copy paste stuff.
One of the guys on the chat said that if they will not be able to validate it till this certain date given they will give me refund , but this date is in nearly two months…
