As I mentioned in another post on a different thread, the vast majority of the time it fails is due to accounts being linked to another banned account, rather than the method failing itself.
Sorry for not being clear.
If the OP reads this, I want to clarify MEB is my method of choice for the items I personally have refunded. I have not done MEB for a phone. If you feel DNA is more appropriate, do that method.

It arrived and I waited like 20 minutes to open chat with the bot. I tried the DNA method, and the bot told me to wait until 13th May for it to arrive.
My Plan is to do DNA and if that fails or something doesn't go as planned I'll just say it arrived the next day and then try WIR or MEB

Update: The DNA pathway didn't workout as there was an OTP
I tried saying the box was empty to which they said for me to file a PR.
Could I try again and open another chat and tell them I received something else? @mothered

You could always try to make up any excuse and explain you ended up finding the iphone, then initiate a ftid return

You could always try to make up any excuse and explain you ended up finding the iphone, then initiate a ftid return
FTID seems too risky and I heard it isnt the best

Yeah they said the weight was how it should be before they dispatched it so they wouldn't give a refund. Other route was PR but my police station wasn't going to give one anytime soon so I'm going to just return it. I also got a warning email from ofm.

Are you stupid, how can you claim DNA when there was an OTP. The only way that would work is if the delivery drive left package unattended in a "safe place"

The thing is that the carrier just gave the package without asking for OTP but Amazon won't budge

You should continue and do a PR if you have to. The refund request already flagged your account (hence OFM email).
