oh ok thanks for clearing that up
Are you Intending to sell It?
was planning on keeping it

I guess selling it would be out of the question because whoever buys it won’t be able to use any apple services

That's only If Amazon decide to take action on the MacBook.

So recently did SE on the MacBook Pro from C0stc0 . After some time and a PR they offered a refund . DNA method . Decided to keep it myself because I didn’t want anyone else to possibly have issues with services . Have been using it for about a few days and today when I turned it on I could not log in with the password I had set with fresh Apple ID upon new activation days ago . Now also cannot erase it because it’s saying it’s linked to Apple ID . In activation lock now and did phone code verification which brings me back to it asking for Apple ID and password which I go on prompt forgot password and Id .. which in turn keeps me going in circles back to the same activations lock . Cannnot access unless I enter Apple ID password which is now incorrect and cannot recover password because when I try to sign in to that Apple ID from a different device it says a notification has been sent to linked MacBook which I cannot access due to not having the password … with the repeat message “ This Mac is linked to an Apple ID . Enter the Apple ID and password that was previously used with this Mac .”
Then asks for Apple ID and password again
. Any help would be much appreciated . Or am I just brain farting and doing something wrong? So this Mac will just not erase and is permanently locked to the Apple ID?

I’m in a similar situation, my suggestion would be purchase the same item from somewhere else and then return the blocked one on that order

Impossible on a MacBook.

Why is that though? If it has a serial number. They can easily blacklist it from their system. Even though, there is search results that says Apple to claim for not being able to blacklist MacBooks but online cellular devices. Which is weird for the initial reason.

yes super strange. It was working for a few days at least then today when I tried to login ..password was incorrect for Apple ID and even with phone number code verification it would just bring me back to enter Apple ID and saying its linked .. and Macintosh Hd doesn’t load on recovery screen . Only options

wouldn’t wherever you tried to return it to verify the MacBook upon returning? (Eg. Turn it on ) then they’d see that it’s stuck in recovery > activation lock? I remember I had bought a MacBook from b3stbuy a while ago when brought back in for return they opened a completely brand new sealed MacBook just to turn it on and see that it was working

That’s interesting, how is your MacBook restricted? If it turns on does it just not let you log in?

so it’s basically a paper weight at this time . Can’t access anything past the Apple ID login screen which I’m locked out of now

yes it turns on but it’s activation locked in the recovery mode . Cannot do anything with it besides entering diagnostic mode . Locked out
