PayPal won't fall for It, neither will the company.

It's extremely difficult, If not Impossible, to justify a package was received containing dirt. You're obviously better off boxing them with dry Ice.
Although I have read your blog, I have never used this method. So I have to buy ice cream, but how do I know when it will melt or even how long it will take to transport? Also, do I need to make a normal return to operate this method (So therefore avoid exceeding 14 days after receipt).
Also, if I make up for it and I manage to justify the failed DNA and that behind it there is this problem, won't they suspect something?

"Ice cream"? A nice dessert for those who receive your package.

On a serious note, you're obviously referring to dry Ice.

You need to calculate the sublimation time based on storage, atmospheric conditions and time In transit.

Correct - within the company's return window.

Not If you come up with a viable reason for the return.

I just spent 10 minutes with a New Balance representative on the phone. The woman on the other end of the line tells me that if her email colleague is already processing my request, she can't do anything. She still looks at my order, but there is nothing she can do. I ask that my request be escalated, that she put me through to a superior on the phone, but she is telecommuting in her kitchen (WTF), I believe her nevertheless. In the end, she tells me that she can't do anything, nor her colleagues, and that she couldn't launch an investigation with UPS if the signature was signed (I've made it clear that this signature doesn't belong to me and that it has no value). At this point she told me that all she could advise me to do was to contact UPS directly, show them that the signature was not mine, and at that point, after a conclusive investigation on their part, UPS would contact New Balance and New Balance would be able to refund me. I find this absurd, since in the end I have to initiate the investigation personally, but this signature really doesn't belong to me. Do I do it? Do you think UPS will accept the claim?

My goodness, that's total BS.

Companies open external Investigations with the carrier to cross-check everything relative to the claim, signatures Included. Tell her precisely what I've said and to open an Investigation asap.

Again, they're responsible for an Investigation.

See what happens with what I've stated above.

If NB still fail to use common sense, that's when you contact UPS. Be sure to keep this Information on hand:
Quote:UPS would contact New Balance and New Balance would be able to refund me

That's your refund reassurance.

No matter how many times I call back and tell them everything you tell me, it's always the same thing, they can't do anything. I even told them that given the reputation on some online review sites with this recurring problem, I will contribute to these bad reviews but they don't care. I opened a claim with UPS by checking the box: "Marked delivered but never received" and not "The signature does not belong to me". I'm sticking to the so-called NB version.

They don't know how to respond to your questions and requests, hence they come up with the same BS that's clearly not justified.

Do you actually contact them by phone?

Good.

If UPS tries to dispute the signature, rest assured, we'll tackle It effectively.

Yes, I did contact them by phone. Twice and twice the same answers. In fact, they know that my request was taken by one of their colleagues and they all line up to say the same answer.
Thanks for your help, I'll update here when I get an answer from UPS

Always request to speak with someone on another level, and don't get off the line until your questions and concerns have been addressed.

The woman explained to me that she was telecommuting from her kitchen and that it was impossible for her to transfer me to anyone. The poor woman looked desperate, I could feel in her exhaustion and in her voice that she had no power, and that she was simply being exploited by this cursed company. I wasn't going to stand there on the line, she would have probably hung up or I would have experienced long minutes of discomfort.

I understand your viewpoint with the lady's position, but that's only a single Incident over one phone call.
