This would b extremely difficult to do. Even the best SErs on the planet (to my knowledge) have not SEd something so large.

This would literally be near impossible to do. They wouldn't just say "Oh, sorry, we'll ship out a new car to you!".

I could just imagine the amazing conversation that might be.

RE: SE a car - Kolt1911 - 12-09-2012

I want to see someone to try to SE a car Smile

RE: SE a car - Charon - 12-09-2012

I think it's pretty much impossible to do.

RE: SE a car - Bannedshee - 12-09-2012

LOL call them and be like... "Yeah uhh i found a potato with a chair in its pie eating a bag while standing on snow thats raining jews on a church that got bombed by a plane, in my trunk... So yeah can i get another one"

I'd probabably do this:

1. Buy new identity (I'm sure you can; criminals do it all the time)

2. Sign papers and everything checks out.

3. Call up manufacturer and say you went to a mechanic and they said that the pistons aren't aligned. They're rubbing against the walls can't drive it

4. ???

5. Profit

With so much identifying information and meticulous record keeping in automobiles, I doubt it's possible.

On the other hand... parts enough to build one yourself wouldn't be impossible.

Trust me, buying a new ID isn't cheap enough for it to be worth a new car.

And, as mentioned, cars have a shitton of ID numbers as well.

Sounds simple enough, but there is a lot more to it than this.

Bottom line is, you probably shouldn't attempt to SE a car. Tongue
