What are specific reasons for preferring one over the other? All of you are like, "xbone lololol, ps4 rulz". Perhaps not in so many words, but that's usually the feeling I'm getting.

Which i have to admit, i did buy every game, almost every book, hell almost every lego set too. But with the teaser of the next halo, and all this other side stuff going on with them, its not looking that interesting. I've lost faith in where 343 is taking that game. Titanfall looked like a good preview, but i'm a person more bent on storyline, and they even said that titanfall doesn't have a campaign, its all online. So I really don't see what i'm missing out on. All in all, I like the ps4 better for what it has to offer me and my needs. Of course I'm going to have to get used to the ps4 controller which i'm not looking foward too, but i'm sure in no time atall madcatz will probably come out with a xbox shaped controller for the ps4

Finally, you're the first person I've ever seen that actually gave a reason for why they feel how they feel.
So in summary, your problems are the supposed anti-indie attitude, the price tag, the forced Kinect, and exclusives that you're not really interested in, is that right?
The last point is very true, even to me. I don't like the exclusives on Xbox, but I love the exclusives on the PS3.
The Kinect, as I've often said, receives unjust disdain from most, even though the Kinect is a wonderful device. The games are the issue with it, not the technology(although Kinect games are really fun party games, even putting Nintendo to shame in some cases).
The is the only real issue I have. It's often the reason I hate Apple -- Sub-par devices for hundreds more.
But that's all just filler for me to get to my real point.
Xbox. One. Is. Pro. Indie.
Note: Xbox 360 is also finally allowing for self-publishing now.

I completely agree with you about your thoughts on the kinect, I for one don't give a flying fuck if the xbox one is always on like everybody else is, I just see kinect as a good piece of hardware, limited to recognizing faces/Dancing drunk/masturbating I mean I'd love to see some of the things its capeable of handling but nothing of which so far released for xbox 360 was cooler then being able to tell your team to "flank the enemy" and watching the AI move to a better position. With the new kinect maybe we'll get something better then that, but even then I doubt it.
Its not so much I was stressing on the indie development but more so it was a bigger point to get across, I don't mind the indie development support on the xbox, they just made a bad impression to me, later to say "WE CHANGED IT" in multiple interviews on the internet. I don't really like the way they decided to change things as easily as they did, after fighting for their way on saying "We cant change it". Its just going to be changed back in the future, maybe feature at a time but still, its going to end up back to the original concept from the announcement.
The features they even included in it just didn't really seem to fit me and my lifestyle either. I for one, live on my own, I don't have TV because i thought to myself, Hey i have netflix, and I have internet, Why do i need to pay for TV too rite? Well they seemed to focus on the fact that the xbox one is a perfect home entertainment system fusing everything together into one big box. And how its supposed to help new home buisness'. I think they are trying to widen their customer base by slimming out on the customers that made them popular to begin with. I don't see why i'd need a feature to go half screen skype with somebody while i watch a tv. I just prefer the simplicity of the Ps4. They've been doing the same thing for years, And its worked. Microsoft gambles on change. And as I said, its hit and miss. And it always has been.
