How can CCTV footage possibly conclude the goods were enclosed? If they cannot provide evidence of that, then their Investigation Is deemed Inconclusive, hence the claim must be approved due to Insufficient evidence. Which may be disputed."Absolutely spot on. (12-01-2022, 05:53 PM)Trical Wrote: to which they replied "we looked over the footage and the item had it's seals on it."And? Did the footage capture the contents enclosed? Obviously not. (12-01-2022, 05:53 PM)Trical Wrote: I explained that what I got after I opened the seals was just and empty box.Rubbish. Tell them to escalate your claim on the grounds of Insufficient evidence as discussed In my first quote above. (12-01-2022, 05:53 PM)Trical Wrote: Should I just do a charge back with my bank? Not yet. Request the escalation. RE: John Lewis Eb - EquitableEngineer - 12-02-2022 (11-30-2022, 03:56 PM)plop442 Wrote: You're gonna have to contact the bank, unfortunately. Did you initiate a return and then JL sent you a postage label from EVRI which you then manipulated to facilitate the LIT? Also what is the difference between FTID and LIT ? I know the outcomes are different but what are the mechanics of a LIT ? (12-02-2022, 10:37 AM)Trical Wrote: They don't know how to respond when I asked the reps, how they know if the item is in the box or not. That's because there's no way for them to provide evidence of what was enclosed In the box at the time their CCTV captured the footage. It's a huge vulnerability that should be exploited against every company that operates similarly. I just got a refund from John Yes. I initiated a return and got an evri label. I then manipulated the label so it becomes "lost in transit". LIT is better because it makes the tracking stop somewhere in the tracking. Ftid, companies will investigate and it's easier for them to deny claims because the courier will tell them gps coords, weight of package, etc. LIT just shows the tracking has stopped and of you use a courier that is actually shiy like evri, you're good to go. I have escalated it to the highest it will go. Their senior member of team called me today to apologise for the inconvenience and said the same thing. Any idea what I should do next? |
