Problem is, the picture they took had my door open but I live in a development where there’s about 100 houses with the exact same doorway and it could’ve been any and also they didn’t even get house number.

The rep said something about DPD will check their GPS tracking briefly but idk if he was talking out his ass or not but it’s got me a bit shook.

He said DPD will launch an investigation and it typically only takes a few days.

Have I been successful?

Did they email you back yet? I’m in the same position and just wondering if it actually takes 4-8 days as they say it does.

I'm still waiting

They’ve just replied with a response saying

“I have checked with my Senior Team and after further investigation we concluded that everything has shipped correctly from our warehouse, the weight of the parcel corresponds to the number of items ordered, the GPS is correct and we have concluded that the parcel was delivered to the correct address. Unfortunately we will have to deny the refund in this circumstances.”

Do I just do a legit return or escalate? If so how?

Well I'm surprised how they would know it went to the correct address unless a photo or video of the package at you house was made otherwise are they going off what the courier said

there was a photo but it was very inconclusive. I live in a development where basically 100 houses look exactly the same and the picture had my door open but no person or house number even.

My guess is they’re trying to scare me but i’m not sure

@mothered I would greatly appreciate your guidance.

Are there any features that can conclusively Identify It's your house In the photo?

Nope not at all the picture proves nothing apart from it was put into some random doorway.

Then there's no cause for concern - they cannot conclusively prove It's your entryway In the photo.

I sent an email replying to the customer service team saying their investigation was fraudulent (lol) and improper and that they were unjustly holding my money blah blah. I stated that the picture proves nothing and that I have cameras on my porch etc

Good work.

It'd be very Interesting to see how they respond to all that.
We'll await their reply.

Ended up speaking to them on live chat as they were unresponsive elsewhere.

When I asked to escalate, I would go through to a senior team member (think this happened twice) and they would say the decision cannot be reversed and they would then put me back to a lower staff member who would say the senior team has made a final decision and it cannot be reversed. Even with my logical arguments asking about proof, the only thing they’ve given me despite all my demands is a flimsy message stating:

Hey (my name), Sophie here! the drivers gaps puts him in the correct place im afraid after investigation the refund has been denied.

Which totally makes no sense but it doesn’t seem like they care at all.

Should I abandon refund and legit return? Or are there any further leads to pursue?

EDIT: Would also like to add I paid with PayPal that is extremely aged and verified so potentially a route there?
