What exactly do they respond with?

I spoke to eBay. As the item is claimed to be defective I have to accept the return or lose my rights. People wonder why I go and abuse methods with coorporqtions. This is exactly why.

I have to accept it and if the item isn’t in the box or is broken they told me to contact police. POLICE DO NOTHING. NEVER GOING TO USE EBAY AGAIN.

I think it's 20 items and over £250 before you get payouts once delivered.

you got to understand that its all based on your city, unfortunately if there's no demand for that specific item then your plan B is to ship the product out. Ebays essentially all we got at the moment.

Ive basically found out the item is not defective. What ebay has done, is rather than a full refund, they tok 70%. TBF i got the item back and kept 30%. Not bad outcome to be honest.

So you received it back from the buyer and told ebay it was a totally okay item? And then ebay made this deal, am I right? I thought Ebay gives full refund when tracking shows delivered, no questions asked

Even if you choose that you dont accept returns, ebay will always overrule that if a buyer complains.

This is due to consumer protection laws, if you long distance sell at least in Europe, consumers have the right to return what they ordered within 14 days. Regardless of whether what they ordered is faulty or they just dont like it.

That's why I stopped using eBay more than a decade ago.

It's not worth the time and hassle.

It is risky but you can sell what you have so much more than your own website.
As well as the time and effort to get the traffic to your site and feeling safe enough to checkout.
So it does have its advantages. It is very risk for high value goods.
