Too far-fetched and virtually Impossible to justify In today's world of logistics and freight distribution.
Not with eBay just read the eBay sellers forums and you will see how ridiculous a lot of the scams they deal with are and how rarely eBay actually sides with them.

I've yet to pull a SE off eBay, but I too have read about dozens and dozens of sellers (sadly, they weren't all big retailers) claiming having been scammed in absurd ways with eBay siding with the buyers

That's a minority of claims that eBay deals with. If It works on a significant level, every man and his dog will be opting for that methodology.

Try It consistently, particularly with reps who're switched on, and see how far you get.

I was wondering if someone SEd eBay Sellers yet.
Is it a good idea to hit a giant tech store?
I don't want to SE smaller sellers because they live from every sale.

Anyone done this?

It's incredibly easy to SE on Ebay. You can say they sent you the wrong item or send them back a box of rocks and Ebay will have your back pretty much everytime.

So boxing. The problem is though they could take u to court if you don't use fake info etc etc lol

Are there really reports of people going to jail after an Ebay refund?

Seriously? I'm not targeting yourself, but rather putting the question to whoever reads this.

Unless you're SEing a100k diamond ring (which even then may not warrant a jail sentence), you won't go behind bars for a mediocre one-off Incident.

Target the tech stores. It really isn't difficult on Eaby. If you don't go for tech stores there are other users that you can target without hitting them too hard financially. Look at the sea of gpu sellers right now. It's most of the time easy to spot the miners since most of them will state the cards been used to mining or actually have photos of the rig. Typically they've already made their money back from the card already. I'll weager more than one you find right now will have an account that doesn't look too healthy/low feedback and a shitty undetailed description. Target these people and you won't find much of a pushback from Ebay.

Well I scammed a scalper for a 3090 by claiming he sent me a printed out photo of a 3090 and not a 3090. It ended up working eBay sided with me. The scalper was scamming people trying to sell a used GPU for almost 4k so I didn't feel bad. None of the companies had any in stock for me to SE because of the scalper's bots buying all the stock. In any other circumstance, I think it would be messed up to scam a small seller but this guy deserved it. There is an off chance eBay might actually be diligent and prevent a scam like this as they have for some sellers but they let far too many slip through.

A printed photo, seriously?
How did that even work lol that's outrageous, surely the delivery company would crosscheck the weight?
