Tell them to email you a copy of the signature, and be sure to say you'll cross-check Its authenticity.

If It's Inconsistent (which It will be), Inform them that you'll provide evidence of your own signature clearly demonstrating It's not what they have on hand.

Insane bro! They couldn't even give the signature or anything. They just told me to chargeback my bank so they can release the funds.

Their noncompliance speaks a thousand words.

If there wasn't a problem with the signature, they'd have no hesitation to release It.

It's not their place to ask you to perform a chargeback - It's your bank, your choice.

Be sure to remain adamant with obtaining the signature.

Hey so, walmart has closed my account. Not sure if this is normal but I continuously pressed and pressed for them to give me the signature, filed a fedex claim and all.

Did you file a dispute with PayPal? Also, how much did you contact them and how? What are they saying to you?

I believe it’s due to me charging back that they’ve now closed my acc? But they presented it as the only option as I kept pushing and they wouldnt give me the signature. This is extremely unprofessional

I contacted them a bunch over phone and kept pushing the signature and they kept disconnecting me. I filed a dispute with my credit card company as they handle disputes in 10 days.

Ah so you just charged back directly from your card? I see. I believe that’s standard procedure that they always close an account when charging back. I would do the same but I don’t want to lose two months later and be stuck with the charges due to my shitty card.

My issue is that they keep saying to dispute and I was assured that I would still be in Walmarts good graces if I do so. Closing the account seems contradictory of that so are they just lying?

Can you still return the laptop?

“oh well neither of us have access so we’ll have to escalate your claim now - (5 mins after my acc is deleted) they couldnt provide me with the signature, even though all they would have to do is get the shippers acc #.

Clearly all they do is lie. If I wasn’t kept in their good graces then what’s to stop them from deleting your acc. I was assured that if I charged back the funds would be transferred to my account and walmart would not attack the claim. Which is why Im charging back.

Wishing you luck on the dispute. Looks like I might just end up returning as they’re set after a long wait of just filing a dispute. They have a script and say they can’t escalate.

You shouldn't have hit a chargeback until all options were exhausted.

At any rate, what was their reason for closing the account?

Nonsense.

Under such circumstances, request your claim be escalated.

They can, but tell you otherwise.
