Because If It's opened, It can be returned for a legit refund by saying you were In a rush, and mistakenly packed the Incorrect Item In the box. As to why It was resealed to perfection, you were concerned that an open/damaged box would void the refund, hence returned It In Its original state.

There's no cause for concern - they're both part of company protocol to move forward with the claim.

No, replace It with an actual product.

All right, that calms me down. I will try my luck. Today the apartment becomes a sauna :-). The alternative product may not be a stone but it must be a product. It does not matter what, the main thing that the weight is right and it does not make noise? It also doesn't have to be from Amazon itself, right?

Exactly.

It must appear to be an exact representation of the original.

Correct.

I was able to remove the seal without damaging it.  However, I have left small scratches through the razor blade. I could cover these up a little in which I push the sealing strip further down. However, the seal is wrinkled at the point where it runs around the bow. I think that would stand out. Did I mess it up? Is it possible to remove / save the scratches or is it ok like that?

I wish there was a side-by-side comparison with the original seal.

At any rate, are the following bits supposed to be there as per the factory seal?

Yes everything you marked was already there from the factory. The only thing I caused were the small scrapes from the razor blade. I actually took an original picture. However, from a different angle, which was pretty stupid. It would be useless if I posted it. I'm sorry.

If the scrapes are not too deep, It can be due to wear & tear when the box was handled - picked, packed and weighed prior to shipping. I've experienced It with other products.

It's difficult to tell from the Image, so you're the best judge of the seal's Inconsistencies.

It's no problem whatsoever.

Ok thanks for the estimate. I will continue it as soon as I have the alternative article. I think it would have been better to work with hard narrow plastic instead of the razor blade. Then the cuts would not have happened to me. And of course I could have been more precise. Smile

It's a learning experience.

You're now aware of what to do when dealing with seals of similar nature. Do remember that you're not working on a schedule - take as much time as needed to open and reseal to perfection.

Update: Amazon its returns department has opened the sealed box and found an old camera inside. The account specialist team wrote me that at the time the box handed over to DPD left the logistics center, they found the item in the box.

They also disposed of the wrong item and informed me that there were unusually frequent problems with returns in my account. They threatened me that repeated violations of their policies may result in you no longer being able to purchase from Amazon.

When I made the return, it was picked up personally by DPD. I had to provide a signature for this.

Did it fail? What should i do?
