A given traditional method Is based on the nature of the Item, as well as the company's operations.

For Instance, you wouldn't use the wrong Item received method against John Lewis - their CCTV footage would deem the Item was picked, packed and dispatched correctly. Apple on the other hand, tend to release themselves from liability when claiming nonreceipt of goods, hence the DNA method Is out of the question. Amazon may require an OTP on delivery, which again puts an end to the DNA. Currys also has CCTV cameras In operation - no need to elaborate further.

Please name the company and Item, specifically.
Amazon, with jewellery. Specifically a ring that’s around 1-1.5k sold by amazon.

Do you happen to know the precise weight?

I just went on amazon to check, and found that it wasn't actually sold by amazon but "Prime Jewellery". So i guess the next thing i would be getting would be electronics. I'm thinking of getting one of the new macbooks. Should be around 1.5-2k.

When you've conclusively decided on the Item, we'll take It from there.
