The only thing is that they have a map which shows where the parcel was delivered. The little marker is not exactly on my house but is on the house next to mine. I rang up and they said to fill in a form which I will do.

The package could've been scanned outside your home (hence marked delivered to you In theory), but In practice, dropped off next door. Incidents like this do happen - that's why many companies ask to check with the neighbours when claiming nonreceipt of goods.

There’s no marking that indicates it’s my house - plus my house isn’t on street view so unless they travel all the way to my house there’s no way to tell if it’s my house or not.
The document is a parcel declaration of non receipt. All they want is:
1 - Full name on the order, full delivery address including the postcode
2 - Order number
3 - Tracking reference
4 - Date of order, item/s missing, quantity and price
5 - Very brief description of the issue itself (eg. “driver delivered to my shed, but the parcel was not there”)
And for me to sign it.
They ask for me to check with my neighbours and

Since they’ve asked me to check with my neighbours, if in the future they ask if I checked with my neighbours, would saying that I knocked on the door but there was no answer be a good excuse?
