Given It's placed back Into stock, then picked, packed and dispatched and transported by the carrier until It reaches Its destination (the buyer), It goes through so many hands. As such, It cannot be pinpointed to yourself - the social engineer.
Refund confirmations are not always consistent.
Under similar circumstances, I've experienced a couple that took 2 weeks to finalize. It won't hurt to contact them In a few days or so, asking for an ETA on the refund.
Okay, so I have just got an email from some account specialist at Amazon. They told me, they received the wrong product and that they can confirm the right product was in the box when the package went out. They told me they would accept my return until April 19th. I'm not sure what to do now and why my SE even failed. Should I just return the phone? Chat nor phone can help me, I can only answer via email.
What do you think @mothered

2.How’s that possible, the package changed so many hands, how they come blaming you?

Send It back for a refund, reorder It on a totally different account, and SE them using another method.

I did use a dummy phone and transferred the sticker that's on it when it's new. The dummy phone actually looked pretty legit. I have a picture side by side with the actual phone. It was for the 13 and I used some sealing stickers which also resembled the original ones perfectly.

Now that I thought about it, I could maybe think of two things.

2. Well, the package was still in good shape and I don't think, somebody who would steal it would happen to be able to reseal it perfectly and place a dummy inside.
(03-30-2022, 08:11 PM)Mobdeep Wrote: Which country did you do the SE in?
Germany.

Send It back for a refund, reorder It on a totally different account, and SE them using another method. I took almost an hour to open, replace and reseal the box. There definitely were no inconsistencies with the seal. It was placed perfectly on top of the old one and you could not see the old one anymore. Making a different account is not quite doable for me at the moment, I'll just have to give up on that one. I'll send it back and try to get a refund.
Now the two things that might have made this SE fail.
1. I opened the package from the bottom and then resealed it from the inside with double sided tape. The packing material was on top so you could not see it. However, maybe they did see it when opening the box and it made them suspicious so they checked the return thourougly. They must have tried to turn on the phone because if they just peaked inside it would have looked legit enough.
2. I just moved a few weeks ago and since then made around three order on Amazon. However, I did returned some stuff and only kept like four items. So I made two returns in a week and maybe that's what made them suspicious with my returns or the high value item with the new address.

I think that amazon employees may have an obligation to check every returned Apple equipment due to large thefts. It got too popular and easy, so they got down to it.
