What Issues have you been experiencing?

It's extremely unlikely they'd believe that junk was In a perfectly-sealed box.

The only way It'd have a chance to work, Is to claim the seal was broken and the box was damaged at the time of purchase.

Finding a card in stock online that isn't absurdly marked up is really the only issue I have. If they're unlikely to believe there was junk in a perfectly sealed box, what does this mean for the unfortunate sucker that would end up in that very situation? Lol

You've yet to find a good deal during Black Friday on a given year?

Yes, he'll most likely face the same Issue.

I'm not saying what you've suggested won't work, but rather It will be an arduous task convincing the rep to believe your side of the story. On the other hand, you may be In luck to communicate with an agent who's brain-dead and approves the claim on the spot.

My expectation is they will deny it and then I'll attempt a charge back with my bank. If that also fails, keep it and cry about it or just sell it for 1k more than what I paid, which is what it's currently going for online.

It won't be a straightforward claim, so remain adamant that you're returning what you've originally purchased.

Please update us when you hit the SE.

As I predicted, I was not refunded. I remained calm and explained to them that there was only a bag of sand in the box (which I prepared myself and matched the weight of the card) and the box was perfectly sealed in shrinkwrap. I was requesting another card not a refund but they refused to do anything for me.

After speaking with a manager I was told there's no way of knowing if I had just removed it myself so there's nothing they could do and I should contact the bank.

Updates to come.

You may had been able to request a shipping label and used covid as an excuse whereupon you LIT the parcel.

I expected something to that effect:

I was thinking claiming the box was perfectly sealed was alright as someone may not have noticed a minor imperfection but maybe that would've changed the tide in my favor.

No matter. As I said earlier, worst case scenario I'll just keep it or sell it at a profit. I didn't have a chance to call my bank today but I'll let you all know how it goes.

How would I ensure it's LIT?

Under the circumstances, I'd say they'll most likely side with the seller, but there's no harm In giving It a shot.

If it would've been this difficult for the person picking it up after me then that's alright. I try not to burden anyone with my schemes.

Maybe change course? I was considering claiming DoA with manufacturer and duping it that way.
