So no one approved my claim, the automated system granted me my refund which has already hit my account.
You're fortunate to have their automated support refund your claim.

At the end of the day It succeeded, and that's all that matters.

How do you know they've ceased their Investigation?

Have you received confirmation that your case has been closed?

No official confirmation but I reached a point with them on the phone prior to the refund where I was told there was nothing additional that they could do. Now that I've gotten the refund from the automated system I see no reason to question their response.

Understood.

Unless new evidence comes to hand (which I doubt), the refund Is there to stay.
