RE: Clothes SE - Mainour - 01-26-2022

Quick update: I just gave them a call and they told me I'd need to sign a document and they would investigate with the carrier. It's a company document: affirmation on oath and legally binding. Would you go ahead and sign the document @mothered? Also, if I do so it'll take two to fours weeks for the investigation to conclude. If I wait so long, I couldn't even make up an excuse and return the items, right?

I've looked through the internet a bit and found out that legally, such insurances are completely irrelevant. This is because affidavits are only legally effective if they are submitted to a competent authority.

Although It may only be required to evaluate the claim, I always suggest to not sign a legally binding document.

Ultimately, It's your call.

Correct.

Which can be done anytime after receiving the signed document.

How would they even be able to find out that somebody was not quite telling the truth?

Right, didn't quite think that through. They will forward it to the shipping company

Through the findings of their Investigation and the claim's assessment.

To the relevant party/authority.

I understand you guys. It is really worth taking care that you have fashionable and cool clothes and it is important to choose the right clothes. Recently I decided to go shopping and look for something new. But I couldn't find anything. But then I came across a website with a great collection of footwear and ordered myself, click here to find out more. I love high-quality footwear, and I liked it.

Quick update: the delivery guy came to my door yesterday and while I'm sure I could have made this SE work, I chose not to do so. He told me he'd have to pay for the goods inside and that is not something I could square with my conscience. I just told him that it actually showed up a little later and that I just forgot to inform the company.

Yeah, I actually wasn't quite sure if he'd actually have to pay himself, but that's what he told me. I have no moral issue with SEing big companies but a delivery guy that doesn't make much money and doesn't even speak the language. No

I've yet to experience a carrier driver footing the bill for the company he works for.

At any rate, on the grounds he was truthful, you did the right thing.
