If It was purely handed over without a signature nor any photos taken, It's perfect to hit the DNA.

Anyone could've accepted the package - the driver neglected to personally pass It onto the respective recipient.

Yes, contact them the next day.

Although you've received the said delivery confirmation, as far as you're concerned, you're still waiting for the package to arrive, so getting In touch with the company the following day makes perfect sense.
