I think "American Way" kinda has new connotations that it didn't have when it was first made his catchphrase. But I don't really think it should be changed. Americans love to hate america until they go somewhere else xD Although, the same can be said for the English.

I too was bisexual but I changed my mind because everybody would judge me whenever I want to have sexy both with men and women. So I act more like a hetero.

It's a crude marketing tactic and it definitely comes across half-assed. I'm all in favor of having gay superheroes or black women as spies, but it's not loyal to the source material.
The original creators are dead, so it's not like we'll hear their opinion.
Is there source material for Jonathan Kent? It's clark's son that is bi, not OG superman.
