But would it work if the item was heavy? Shipping companies record weight when returning.

I onced FTID returned a Lenovo ultrawide 43”monitor with a 500 g padded envelope. The tracking info and weight on the label, which was about 18 kg on the label is what was shown on the tracking. This was the case with UPS.

You could ofc ftid a ordinary packet with the right dimensions and weight.

Thanks, I accept cash or cheque.

It's not my Intention to trash the OP's thread. He/she has made some valid points, but there are many that leave the so-called FTID method prone to failure. My view Is clear on Its flaws and Inconsistences, so there's no point repeating myself. All the best to those who utilize It.

My comment was made in jest, tbh. I've always appreciated reading your critique as it's given me more to think about and to consider.

FTID seems not to be the silver bullet that some claim, but it is highly effective on the store that are susceptible

I know, I was joking about the payment.

Once I tried FTID, I deleted tracking number and UPS worker couldn't scan it. They called me and said that label is incorrect and that I need new one ;D

How did you proceed afterwards? Did you try to drop it off somewhere else?

A prime example of the so-called FTID method's flaws.

Use Photoshop and cut it in half and mirror it and paste the copy to the other half. This way the automated conveyor belt and scanner wont be able to scan it. This way it goes to another section in the terminal where UPS will deliver it to the edited address instead of the ”hidden” and correct address that is hidden in the qr-symbol.

That's a good idea but im really sure if they scan the tracking barcode they can see everything they need in their systems.
If not the driver normally can request the original label in the office with just the tracking barcode.

Definitely.

The barcode Is there for a reason, and not just for the sake of It. On scan, It shows everything relative to the consignment.

Absolutely.

That's one way shipping labels are reprinted.
