Signs of tampering would most likely be noticed at the collection point, therefore the sender will be liable for loss of goods. And yes, Lenovo laptops have been Identified as fire hazards: Quote:However, fire is a possibility if you don’t have your laptop serviced. This is something you don’t want to risk. RE: Lenovo SE - smallgreyman - 09-04-2021 I decided that I'll go with disposal of a faulty item. I believe it's the best option for me. I started SE 2 hours ago, however chat contact not available in those hours so I wrote an e-mail. If they don't answer till tomorrow morning I'll go with chat cause it's hella faster and agent will be under pressure and under my emotions. RE: Lenovo SE - smallgreyman - 09-06-2021 Okay so update: I contacted them today via live chat. They said they don't need any POD. They created a label to return the item. I told the rep like 2 times that battery was really warming up but nothing powered on. I also told him that up to 30 days waiting for my laptop to be repaired is insane and that I can't work without my laptop. He said blah blah it can take shorter than 30 days. I said that I'm gonna try those troubleshoot steps again and if they won't work I will return tomorrow in the morning. And tomorrow I want to connect again via live chat and use leaking battery method after trying to charge it for few hours or something like that. What's your thoughts about it? RE: Lenovo SE - smallgreyman - 09-07-2021 OKay so another update: Contacted them today with plan as I said before (no leaking battery but just caught on fire). Rep was very annoying. I was playing really frustrated and nervous. I said that I came with my son to my friend's informatic he could help me with troubleshooting steps with laptop. And while charging it immediately caught on fire . I said that it burnt out a dinner table a bit. I also said that I immediately threw it out by the window before it exploded cause it were seconds. Rep didn't give a fuck about the table nor safety of my son and me or anything. He didn't even feel sorry (only when I started saying that it's joke and this company don't take seriously health & security). I was complaining a lot about lipo battery that's inside. He still didn't give a fuck, he just wants picture of destroyed laptop. He also said that it would be great if I could take this electrothrash and pack it somehow I was just like are you fucking crazy dude? I said that after work I can go there and try to find a laptop but probably some people threw it out to thrash due to environment. He still didn't give a fuck and said that he can't do anything without proofs. What can I do in this situation?

Lenovo has an Escalation team for unresolved Issues, which Is as simple as completing a form with the description of your Issue. I suggest mentioning every event you've described and In particular, the rep's rudeness and how he mistreated you personally for such a sensitive Issue that should've been dealt with the utmost of care and concern. Also mention that you've been emotionally Impacted as a result of the mistreatment. RE: Lenovo SE - smallgreyman - 09-07-2021 I just wrote to their escalation team. I described every detail of this situation. The second half of my message was describing every detail of rep's behaviour and my feelings about it also mentioning mistreat by rep and not caring at all about health & safety. Will update. RE: Lenovo SE - smallgreyman - 09-10-2021 Still no answer from escalation team. Should I wait more? Should I wait more?I missed your previous reply - It's not possible to remember every post. That aside, escalations are similar to Investigations, whereby they can be a lengthy process to gather and assess Information about the claim. It's only been 3 days since your last point of contact, so give It another day or two before getting In touch with them. RE: Lenovo SE - smallgreyman - 09-14-2021 They called me but I was on a train (they couldn’t hear anything) so we set up call on tomorrow. You think it’s good if they call? Okay so the guy that called me feels sorry for me but he says that it’s really hard for him to make a final decision (give replacement) due to no evidences and those situations are rare. Now he asked me to send POP( I have ideal prepared for it by me in photoshop) and he’s gonna call me tomorrow with final decision. He said he needs to talk to some upper guy.
