I certainly agree that It can be a somewhat lengthy process.

You've made a good choice with the chargeback - It should be used when all else fails to serve the SE.

This is their reply to me questioning the PR, I guess a chargeback through the bank could be the next stage or just do the PR. Never gone with a bank chargeback on every done PayPal

Hello,

Thank you for your message.

Confirmation of report to Police or equivalent government authority in your country is crucial data needed to proceed with this complaint. Contacting the authorities in this matter will not only secure you, but also allow to take proper action against a dishonest user.
It is understandable that the Police may decide that they will not start any official criminal proceeding, however, each time they are obligated to assume the notification in this respect and carry out duly verification of it.
In addition, under Money Back Guarantee it is only demanded from users a document "confirming the submission of notification to (...) competent government authority" – it means that the given user is able to provide the aforesaid document, even though the official criminal proceeding has not been commenced by Police.

Once the document will be supplied, your Money Back Guarantee claim will be reviewed.

You can learn more at https://supporthub.g2a.com/marketplace/en/money-back-guarantee and in our terms and conditions: https://www.g2a.com/terms-and-conditions, point 6.23.

Best,
G2A Team

As discussed earlier, filing a PR would be made directly against the Individual seller which Is not good practice.

They seem to be sticking to their requirement of a PR so Bank Claim may be the next best thing.

Yes, you wouldn't want to file a PR against an Individual seller, so a chargeback via your bank Is the best course of action.

I guess every bank is different but how would I go about this? I have never actually performed a bank chargeback

I would call your bank / your personal contact (if available) and tell them about your problem. You received a digital good and it was already activated.

Every bank differs (to some degree) In how they handle and process chargebacks/bank reversals, so It's not possible to be specific.

The first port of call, Is to obviously contact your bank and they'll assist you with the steps you need to take to file a chargeback.
