Exactly!!! I have some emotional moments, like honestly life is hard. The more we bottle it up then worse it becomes.

It's just a shitty stereotype.

We are all human and we can all cry, the fact that men do not cry is a lie, we all succumb to our emotions, some of them weaker and some stronger.

We are human, and we have emotions. As long as you express your emotions in a healthy way, its ok. Cry.

^ This.

Don't procrastinate, It will only make things worse. Tackle and take care of every Issue there and then, and get on with life.

Even THE Macho Man Randy Savage said that real macho men are not afraid to show emotions, which includes crying. If that doesn’t say anything then idk what will

I cannot disagree with this! We are human and we are not objects that don't have feelings or whatsoever. Always let your emotions out for sometimes, you cannot keep it forever to yourself. Here are 3 things I do whenever I deal with problems.

1. Accept your problems.
2. Look for a friend that you can keep secrets with.
3. If you do not have a friend that you can trust, there is always millions of strangers out there would hear you out, just don't tell your personal information so there is nothing that you can regret in the near future.

I also agree with not procrastinating with ones problem. Acceptance is always the key like I said on my first quote. What I mean by acceptance is not just accepting that "it is what is (pertaining to the meme)" but accept that it just so happens and no one is to be blamed of.

Accept the whole damn problem whole-hardheartedly and just move on with your life. There are more things that needs to be solved here and outside this forum.

And lastly, my personal opinion about what the OP's title, its okay to cry BUT not all the time. Either you are man, woman, or whatever gender you belong, its just a matter on how you deal things with and how you will end up solving the problem and what the outcome would be. That's all. Smile

Stupid statement.

Idiotic to classify an emotional expression as feminine. Harmful statement towards both binaries.

This comes up a lot in men's work. So many of the people I work with have extreme tension in the throat and the jaw from not truly expressing themselves - from trying to hold whatever happened to them in so that they don't have to truly acknowledge/experience any past trauma.

There exists a great deal of language in our culture around this - "chin up shoulders back" - forcing this biomechanically creates a break around the solar plexus as your rib cage and pelvis are no longer aligned, makes it harder to feel emotions. "set your jaw against the world" etc.

Crying is a form of regulation. When a nervous system gets overstimulated it can release tension similar to how a circuit breaker works. It is the primary regulatory mechanism of infants and toddlers.

Men are cut off from this to a point where the average man in society does not experience the emotional depth necessary. Think of all the stereotypical complaints of female partners about men relating to their empathy and emotional awareness.

It exists as a balance. It is the masculine polarity's job to remain grounded and out of any group in society, it is most necessary that men are capable of controlling their emotions. Yet without the ability to express yourself and discharge tension from the nervous system, you cannot truly be healthy.

Cry when warranted, not never, not with frequency.
