Did they Initially try to confirm the delivery based on tracking Information or otherwise?

Yes. The shipping company sent me a letter confirming i did not receive the package in question.

Yes. The shipping company sent me a letter confirming i did not receive the package in question.

Hey man,

I did not sign the package cause they had the habit of dumping it in the hallway. It is a house with multiple apartments and multiple of flights of stairs so it was easy to say it may have been stolen. Package was delivered with DHL so I might have to stay low with them for a while now.

They didn't know what was in the package. Disclosing the worth of an item seems to be a sure way to lose even more stuff in transit
