Can confirm UPS drops work. They require a text pin to unlock locker last I checked.
I got burned using it one time cause I left my phone at home. You can redirect your pack to a locker using the UPS app just sign up for an account
Using for sale home is sketchy depends on which area it’s in, Nosy neighbors etc . Also don’t want the real estate agent popping up during a delivery or being the sketchy guy/girl waiting outside this home. The thing is even real estate agents are aware once a listing goes up this alerts ppl to a vacant home so just act natural be on guard etc
The worst part is waiting outside all day for a pack to be dropped off, you could be there for hours or run into somewhere else using it as a drop
I’m still doing my best after all these years to find reliable drops. A place the delivery person can tuck a package away like a front porch but now you have to worry about porch pirates or you looking like one to nosey neighbors
I’ll try foreclosed homes and see how it goes
Have you guys tried businesses? For sale addresses. From what I understand shipping recognizes business delivery address like a small supermarket store. It’s not odd for ppl to be in the area with foot traffic or for large deliveries
Another option if you live in a major city or nearby find a big story apartment building. Not 6 floors and under I’m talking 10+ floors with over 50 apartments basically a huge co op
These have high foot traffic and someone will always be there to let you in, you won’t look weird or Standish out ish since the amount of ppl who live there and their friends are constantly coming in and out it’s a revolving door
Due to how big these locations are there will certainly be a vacant apartment for rent you can find the listing
Send to that drop address and just wait downstairs. If the front doors are easily accessible to the driver to get in wait near the elevator since they certainly will be one for a building that size.
Just say “ hey, 19C ? “ they’ll already know you mean apartment number and hand it to you

what about abandoned houses? Theres one abandoned house near me thats basically run down but still has an address. The courier never calls me or asks for id or a signature so would that work?

In the case of using a drop address (because of a retailer blacklisting your address), how would it work when putting in payment info?
The shipping address would now be the "drop", but what about the billing address?
I would assume using the blacklisted address as the billing address would cause a problem?
Would payment go through using the drop as a billing address?
If it doesn't, what would be the issue with changing the billing address for the CC to some other address?

Nice up to date guide. Much better than most over the years which rely upon using foreclosed houses or houses which are for sale.
When you sign for package at a pick up points that signature is provided to the courier company and is even visible on the website (at least UPS). Plus you would burn that drop, if that kind of claim doesn't raise an investigation I dont know what would.
From a SE perspective when they say that your package has been collected and signed for, you mask up and claim that it wasn't you and there must of been some mistake? It could be possible with the right company but never thought that would work but it could work in the same way a dna does.
Some couriers don't deliver to the nearest pick up point but take the package back to the depot if they are not able to make delivery.
Requests for leaving packages at safe points, making change requests aren't always reacted upon even when the courier website accepts your request. Meaning that they make delivery to the original address anyway.
