I actually have no idea. I've just googled and read that one person was charged with 50,700 charges related to computer crimes, but only got a two-year suspended sentence. AKA - He isn't in prison but will have all of his online activities monitored. That's a very light sentence. Perhaps they went easy on him because he was only 17. Upon further reading, it doesn't sound like the members who were identified in the press faced jail either, as they were young.

One of them was facing a 10 year sentence, but only went for 3 months because he made a plea deal that outed other members. He faced a heavy fine.

tl;dr - Of those who were in jail, they're not in jail any more.

That's an astonishing figure.

I've never come across anyone with 50k charges, let alone receiving a suspended sentence. You'd think there'd be at least one charge In the 50,000+, that would warrant a harsher penalty.

Probably plea deal, or informant/federal employee now. I know members where this was the case.

I felt the same. However, as Oni said, plea deals do make that difference.

Yeah, I read that it was a plea deal after all.
