Update: The DNA method for the MacBook failed but I am not going to give up. They suggested I submit a police report and I do not mind going that route but I wanted to know if there was any other route I could take? Possibly boxing and substituting the weight with shipping material? Let me know you're thoughts on the next step

What was their reply to you claiming the dna?
They believe it was delivered and if I want to continue I should contact law enforcement

Did you sign for it? Did the delivery driver had over the package? Did you have to give an OTP? Did they leave the package at the door?

Please explain and give us details..

Given they've requested a police report, your claim Is still In progress, hence has not failed. In fact, It's looking good at this stage- If they had evidence to decline It, they would've done It by now.

The PR Is simply required to move forward with your claim, so go ahead and file one.

Given they've requested a police report, your claim Is still In progress, hence has not failed. In fact, It's looking good at this stage- If they had evidence to decline It, they would've done It by now.
