Sweet, about to buy a gaming laptop myself from Amazon. So DNA or leaking battery is the way to go? Hope I can ask a couple of questions.
Would chat or call be best? How long should one wait to report it as DNA? Can one turn on the unit as soon as you get it, or should you wait for the refund/replacement to go thru? Should I order the accessory I want separately or fk it and do it together?

What you're gonna do is get the laptop and wait 3-4 days before contacting amazon customer support.
Get some cooking oil and take a picture of the bottom of your laptop. Make it look greasy!
Explain to customer support that you were using your laptop and it overheated and caused this liquid to come out.
They'll ask you to contact the manufacturer and explain to them that they told you to contact the store you purchased it from for a refund.
They'll ask you to email them a picture to confirm with the serial number in the picture. Take a picture of your "leaked laptop"
They'll make you wait for 5-7 minutes and tell you
"As a one-time acceptation, you don't have to return the item. We ask that you dispose of it properly." The reason is because if a battery has exploded they are legally not allowed to accept it back.
You'll be offered to either a replacement sent out or a refund.
Take the refund! Just a heads up they will void the warranty on the laptop.

This is because there is a brand, or the store's brand, or because the computer is sold only bundled with some other equipment. Stores want to make money on you. But I'd recommend that you build your PC. There are people who, for money, are ready to help you assemble all the necessary parts for a PC - a motherboard, a processor, a video card, a hard disk, etc. Yes, you will pay for them, but you will save money because such a computer will be cheaper for you anyway. If you go with DNA then you will most likely be asked to do a PR. They will then ask you to wait until it's been entered , usually 24 hours. After you give them the PR info and they verify it on their end, they should give you a refund pretty quickly.

I tried the leaking battery method with a phone and Amazon was adamant on returning the phone in a special box they would send me. Luckily a rep gave me a refund without a return but it was a close one that could have easily been a denied return.
