Yes that's what I was referring to. Both sides disagree with each other, giving different sides to the story. The only thing that I know of that was confirmed was no guns were fired at all. It was hand-to-hand combat that caused fatalities.

I believe an Indian general claimed the Chinese used wooden bats with barbed wire around them, and gave pictures to support his claims.

Here's an update though. This article claims that a Chinese general ordered the attack which somewhat backfired, and now China is trying to do damage control by censoring whatever they have control over.

While I am rather concerned with China and the security risks some of these apps pose and am not opposed to the bans, I do somewhat agree with your comment. India has much bigger issues to deal with.
