Not free but you'll get maybe a nice 75-90% discount

If you buy a broken one that is in warranty - no need to go through that hassle. You can literally just return the broken one via RMA with standard procedure.

Rather than losing money on the resale, wouldn't the seller have It repaired/replaced under warranty, thus sell It at double the cost (or more) of the damaged/broken Item?

SE I don't believe you can, but look into fake TID refunds, not gonna give it away fully and saturate the shit out of it but theres a few sites that it works on right now with any items regardless of size so including TV's and definitely over 1k. Also there's always good old fashioned warranty fraud, ezpz if you have a TV in warranty but I got one I bought legit about 5 years ago with an extended warranty that was meant to run out in a couple months for £1200, just found a pic of a broken one online and sent pics in for insurance, with Covid nobody's coming to your household to collect anything so they looked and saw they couldn't get ahold of that screen panel these days and paid me out the full tv value.

Realistically, probably. This was going off the assumption that you're able to find a broken in-warranty one. But you'd be surprised - back when I worked in the e-waste department of my university, I found LOTS of e-wasted electronics that were still working/ within warranty.

Warranty exploitation and refunding technically both fall under the category of SE. Out of curiosity, how do you find sites you can exploit with FTID?
But nice - free TV Biggrin
I'm hoping to SE a TV some day. Currently don't quite have the capacity for a TV so I've been making do with a projector. Can't wait to upgrade though Smile

I know of one site for sure, could you point me to potentially where I could find more info on other possible sites?
