If the carrier Is the same as your previous experience, I'd say they'll do the same by following company protocol.
DPD is usually very strict over here (UK) and always have taken pictures for me or asked for signature from experience. But again, of course it really just depends on the guy giving you the item or protocol in your area.

i’m surprised you say that. when i got the ram sticks, the picture literally showed the box in the guys hand. not behind my door or anything.

i guess it is as you said, dependent on the deliverer.

It can vary on the carrier's driver.

For example, at my work some DHL & FedEx drivers request a signature, whilst others sign It themselves. I find that a non-signature delivery, Is usually due to the driver running late for his set delivery schedule.

Honestly for food items, the company never asks for the product returned because opened food packages could be dangerous as it could attract insects or develop fungus or something of that sort. I have never experienced a company ask me for the remaining food. They also send you coupons to get you to shut up because they don't want law suits and other legal trouble. I always say something like there were dead bugs, or metal shards or something of that sort, and they never ask to send it back.

Whilst you have a very valid point, unfortunately, some companies like this do In fact require the return.

In such cases, simply say that you've consumed the lot and felt extremely sick thereafter.
