Dear Bod Fields,

This is a reminder that your refund of $0.0 can be completed as soon as we receive your items.
(For some types of returns, you may have already received your refund, however, your item still needs to be mailed back or you will be charged for your item again.)

If you've decided to keep the items listed below, you don't have to do anything. Your request will expire and no refund will be issued. (If youve already received your refund, then you will be charged for this item again.)
If you've already sent your items, thank you!
If you do still want to return your items, please follow the What to Do Next instructions

What to Do Next:
If you need to reprint your mailing label, or if you need a second label for another box:

Sign in to your Walmart.ca account
On your Account Home page, click on the order number of the items you are returning
On the Order Details page, use the link to reprint return labels.
(You will also see a link to "Make a store return", if you prefer to return eligible items to your local Walmart.)
Your items must be mailed by07/04/2020 for them to be received by the last possible return date, as specified in our Returns Policy.

This is exactly what they emailed me, so I called them back literally 20 minutes ago and stated that I returned back the item and it said it got delivered. Now the representative said they will ESCALATE it again.

Should I be worried with FTID for walmart canada?

Mothered, sorry for having multiple accounts. I was at work and didn't know my original log in and just created one to respond back to this thread. My apologies going so forth.

Refund of 0?

At this point, you're an innocent customer who has already returned the item and they lost the items in the package. They have to escalate the return since they haven't received the item on their end, but that's not your fault at all. Unless they find/kept track of your empty package, which is unlikely. If this happens again, try to speak to a supervisor/ upper management as they should be able to help you better. btw random tip, you should use a password manager Smile

OP, did you change the destination address on the empty parcel too? or did you leave the legit return address hoping they throw the little parcel away?

What happens when the tracking number Is cross-checked, and deemed It wasn't delivered to Its Intended address?

My assumption here was that if they check the tracking number, it would show the address correlated with the tracking label - i.e. the original address. However, since the address is modified on the label, the driver would deliver to an incorrect address, while the tracking number shows it's being delivered to the correct address.

Deliveries are an automated process.

The driver will scan the package at their depot, thus entered In their system with the correct address and along with many other packages, place It In Its respective section ready for delivery. As such, they have a record of goods received and those ready for dispatch. Weights & dimensions are also documented for cost of freight.

It will also be scanned at the destination prior to drop off.  That's the purpose of a tracking number- to confirm delivery from sender to receiver and vice-versa. DHL & FedEx are two of countless carriers who operate In this fashion.

Right, it's scanned to mark delivery as complete. However, is there any indication of the address it was actually delivered to? My assumption was that scanning the tracking label would mark the delivery complete to the address encoded within the bar code.

Correct.

And that address Is the real address based on the tracking number (and not the one altered on the label), therefore the driver will deliver the package based on the details generated by the scan Itself, and not what's documented on the label.

Ohhh gotcha.
Can I ask if you know all of this for a fact? If so, if you don't mind me asking, how?
Answer to your own personal discretion of course!

Edit: I can confirm you are indeed correct!
The packages are delivered to the address on the barcode. The driver can double check the address is correct, and if not it's probably dependent on the driver of whether they'll actually go out of the way to deliver to the address on the label vs in the barcode. It looks like going off-route is pretty discouraged though.

With that said, what do you think is the best thing to send to ensure your package is just disposed of upon reaching company return center? Just an empty envelope? Package weight is also tracked though - I would suspect SE would fail if they cross-check and see the package weight is incorrect.
