Errors In manufacturing, can cause batteries to overheat and potentially catch fire, so this Is very much a realistic occurrence.

Companies tend to take the matter more seriously, when you mention that you've suffered burns when disposing the unit.
That's a good take on that, thanks! I might say my kid got burned while handling the laptop and I had to dispose of it. I'll begin the SE today, I'll let everyone know how it progresses. Quick question though, should I register the product or can I just claim it as faulty without registering it? Should I also use my real address/name?

I would say dont register until actually taking with rep or not at All.

You can do with, or without registering the Item.

In terms of your real name & address, do remember that the company believes the SE Is a legit claim, hence It won't be a problem. If you want to keep your Identity anonymized, then that's entirely up to you.

Gotcha, would you recommend emailing them or would it be better to go straight into a live chat?

I always recommend to SE with the gateway that you're confident with.

For Instance, when emailing, you have ample time to think about your response. Live chat Is Instant, hence It's of the utmost Importance to reply accordingly.

I began with emailing but they had to transfer me to another branch and this branch insists on calling me. Should I take the call or do what I was planning on doing, which was to make it sound as if I'm too preoccupied with other things that I need them to email me instead?

Are you extremely confident with SEing over the phone?

If so, by all means accept the call.
