So this all depends on the items looking similar? You cannot for instance order Apple Airpods pro and then say you received a toaster? Would you think this would work if you say you received Apple cabled inears or "fake" airpods? And do you need to return the "wrong" item?

Yes, they need to be similair in weight. If they weight the same why not. Yes you need to return it.
