Does anyone do this or did I invent something haha.

If the company decides to thoroughly check the packaging, the slightest Imperfection will be Identified.

Without naming specifics, I do It on a daily basis by comparing originals with returns.

If you only open one side of the foil, and push the box a bit till you can open one side you can close it again without leaving any trace.
What do you mean with "comparing originals with returns?"

We have the original packaging on hand, and compare the return packaging against It.

If there are any signs of Inconsistencies that're significant with tampering, the claim Is declined.

If the fragrance is popular, then you could buy an empty bottle from eBay (people actually collect these things) and then smash it and take photos. Pour some water over the packaging and take photos, and say how dangerous it is.

It's good practice to purchase from companies on a large scale, particularly during the busy period leading toward Christmas.

As you've said, they simply don't have the manpower to thoroughly check each and every return. Those that do and work In the QC (Quality Control) sector, have a keen eye for detail and tend to notice Inconsistencies with packaging.

Little update : I called saying the product arrived broken, and told them my wife disposed it right away. Since I called 10minutes before the end of their day on a Friday, the rp was quite expeditive and told me that they'll send me a mail.
I then received the said mail where the company asked me for some photos, I eventually send them corrupted files.
Now I just received a shipping label, with the company asking me to return the damaged product.

I guess I'll send them a mail, stating that my wife disposed of the bottle, as I told the rp on first call.

I always think the broken/damaged bottle is risky. Unless you have the same coloured glass then you have absolutely no proof to send them.

Simply saying you've cut yourself and Immediately disposed the broken glass, works the majority of times.

I guess that makes sense. I could use that in future at some point, thanks.
