I asked him whether it would be possible to get a cheeky AR but we'll see what he responds, might just end up boxing them.

On the similar note, there's another Co. that I am currently SEing, it got to the RMA stage but they wouldn't send it until they receive my device. Here, the problem is that the thing weights around 11kg, so I am not entirely sure what's the best way to go about boxing them.

Everyone in the SE community seems to be adamant of dry ice. But I've read somewhere that it extremely cold which makes me think that a box w/ 11 kg of it will be  very cold and therefore bait, as it'll be obvious that there's ice inside. Also, I know it evaporates over time, would there be a stream of gas coming out of the box?

Would really appreciate some advice from Dry Ice experts or any other suggestions on material that could discreetly fill in 11kg of weight.

You could tape rocks to the inside of the box and fill the rest.
I've done that before, and it actually worked. I know it sounds a bit weird, but it's a possibility to keep in mind Smile

Lol so taped the rocks to the bottom of the box and fill the rest with dry ice?

Yes. You know those small rocks there is on a playground or granite

Dry Ice does not evaporate, but rather sublimates, meaning It turns to carbon dioxide at a rate of around 5 to 10 pounds per 24 hours depending on atmospheric conditions.

either way, wouldn't the box filled w/ 11kg of dry ice be very cold?

Not If wrapped with extra packaging, particularly when fragmented.

Not quite, if OP has a good case and basic photoshop skills and document creation skills he can definitely have a solid argument. If op threatens to sue or even brings it up or anything close to that, and the company he is trying to SE is clearly liable, they will almost always go with the easier route which is a replacement or even exchange, but that will take much longer than doing any other steps,

In my opinion OP should just call and see what’s up, If he gets nervous or something he shouldn’t have even tried SEng them in the first place (no offense). You just have to be prepared for things as simple as these beforehand.

Most companies tell you they won't rma anything if you don't have the item.
