I think that 90g would be too light. Especially as this is an RTX 2080 which is fairly expensive you really want the weight to be exact else it'll leave them to doubt your claim. For something as expensive as this, you really want to make sure everything is as close to the RTX as possible. Good luck.

I meant that the grill cover is 90g lighter than the gpu. So it weighs around 4.4lbs and the gpu weights around 4.6. You think I should add random stuff in the box, like bubble wrap, to make up for the 90g?

Just ordered the wrong item, I ended up deciding to go with an amazonbasics grill cover that is 90g lighter. (Is that weight gap too great?) It arrives on Tuesday and then I'll go through with the rest of the SE
90 grams Isn't too significant.
It should be fine.

Soooo, the Amazon item came in, but it's the wrong weight. The Amazon listing said it was 4.4 but it came out to weighing 3.5. Now, I have to order a different one, which will arrive on Wednesday. This one weighs 4.63, so hopefully it doesnt weigh anymore than that. this really sucks, but patience is the name of the game.

I was able to get the other item to weigh about 4.64 in its packaging, but it doesn't fit in the original box, so I just removed all the labeling and used the box it was sent in. I got off the phone with a rep, and they noted that I received the grill cover instead of the gpu. I was planning on waiting to send it the day after mother's day, so it will be sent with some possible mother's day return items, making it harder to spot anything.

Don't want to jinx it now, but I got an email stating that they're processing my refund. So I think it actually was... I want to wait until I get the refund to confirm

Nice one. btw, quick question did you use a different address to buy the "wrong" item or not? I'm going to try this method too, but idk how to go about it
