Yeah its always tough to take a sizable loss, but that's part of the blackmarket industry. You're safer operating online as far as getting caught, but there's a lot higher chance of getting scammed. Offline, someone could snitch, rob you, setup, etc; but you're likely getting the money/product up front. There's risks regardless of how you operate, which is why many things are so lucrative. If that's your industry, you have to accept that sometimes shit happens. All you can do is either rebuild or move on.

There needs to be a better solution to this. A decentralized escrow system where there's more than just one middleman? More work and more fees, so that's out. There needs to be a trustless system for this.

I am nearly 90% sure that it was an exit scam. That post on Dread is what convinced me and I agree almost whole heartedly.

Upon reading the Initial post, the reason makes perfect sense.
This clearly demonstrates to never trust anyone or any online entity.
