Did you get it in a box? I got it in a plastic packet. The empty box might work, but risky, go for DNA, regardless, the method doesn't matter. All that really matters is the execution.
Yes it came in a box. I did empty box method. They just emailed me back and said they need 7-10 Business days to even give me a response to my inquiry. Wtf? I had emailed them, should I call instead?

even if best buy denies you, you can always try warranty claiming w/ apple saying they don't work and box them

I called them but they told me the same thing (7-10 days), as I said in this period they are going to investigate, and most likely cross-reference the weight. Just stick to your story, and you should be fine.
