Every time I've returned anything, it's always been a completely different dimension to the one I received lol. It's unlikely that you'll find something with the exact weight and dimensions of the item you're trying to SE. As long as the weight is very similar (as close as you can possibly find), and the dimensions can just fit into the box they sent you, it should be fine. The closer you can get, the better and more believable your claim will be, but it's not NECESSARY to have it the exact same. RE: RTX Graphics Card SE - DTMHibbert - 02-21-2019 So this item was delivered today and to my surprise came only in the EVGA RTX box and amazon cardboard box - i did switch my item after what @KrakenKraken mentioned. However the most surprising part is that the driver did not ask for a signature. So with no signature involved i used the DNA method and when speaking to the amazon rep she went to speak to the courier and they informed her it was delivered to number 81 - 2 doors away... - i think the driver has messed up. Up shot is at the moment that i need to wait 24 hours until they can do anything as they want to see if it gets delivered tonight/ tomorrow morning, it has to go through a different team as its classed as a high value item. Hopefully its a simple process in 24 hours as they cant prove its been delivered with no signature. I've been in a similar situation before and as long as you say that you've received no item after 24 hours, they'll either replace you or refund you. The courier has messed this one up and it's made your SE incredibly simple. If the courier checks with number 81 and they confirm they've received nothing and you also confirm you've received nothing, with no signature, they've literally gifted you it on a plate lol. Moreover, some carriers round up the weight to the nearest figure, so precision Is not Imperative. RE: RTX Graphics Card SE - DTMHibbert - 02-22-2019 one thing that might come in handy to people when SEing from amazon is what is classed as High Value/ Risk a couple of weeks back i SEed a few HDD's which were roughly about £394 and the agent i spoke to on phone was able to refund this straight away for me using the DNA method - This order however at £550 is classed as a high value item and needs another teams approval/ authorisation. So i think maybe the cross over point is somewhere between 400 and 550... anyone else have any insight on this? If your account is in very good standing, they won't deem most items as high risk. On one of my good standing accounts, I had 3 x Xbox One X's sent to me + a refund, without question. This was a special gold edition console with BFV included, £400~ each. So I got around £1200ish worth of profit in one go. That account is now in bad standing. On one of my latest accounts, now that I've been banned a few times, they refuse to replace/refund a £45 item, calling it high risk / value. Sounds like you were deemed as low risk when you did the HDDs and now your account / address / name is looking higher risk than it used to. From what I've seen, their systems have a % return rate on your address / account, if you're below a certain % threshold, their systems will allow their retail team (the ones you first talk to when you go on live chat) to give refunds and have all the powers that the internal team have. You will be classed as low risk of stealing their item (not returning / SEing them). They will do anything the customer basically tells them to do, refund or replacement, even if you want it advanced. They will literally kiss your ass so that you'll be happy and give good feedback, etc. If you're above the return threshold (aka you've done too many), you will be classed as high risk and the retail team won't be able to refund you, they'll usually tell you that they're getting an internal member to talk to you on live chat and transfer you to them. Your chances of getting these internal guys to do ANYTHING is pretty much low. You will have to provide them with police reports and/or tracking details for any returns you do. They follow the rules by the book and won't give you the benefit of the doubt, no matter how good you are at SEing. I basically just shut down my live chat window the second I see them transferring me. RE: RTX Graphics Card SE - DTMHibbert - 02-22-2019 so after feeling like i was home and dry with this one they have just sent me an email stating the co-ordinates of delivery and the fact that signature had been provided (i'd be so pissed if i wasnt trying to get a refund lol) there essentially lying to me and will not provide me a copy of the signature. Upshot is there asking for a police report. I think I'm done with amazon for a little while anyway. My address must be near blacklisted lol. If suspicion Is not raised, the value Is Immaterial. One thing to remember, Is that as far as the retailer Is concerned, every SE Is a legit claim. If you've formulated and executed your method that represents and Is consistent with a legitimate request, there's very little reason to decline It. RE: RTX Graphics Card SE - titchyyyy - 02-26-2019 Any update on this? Haven't seen OP for a while. |
