On the principle of not giving up, I've spent 5 days researching an organization/website that I wanted to exploit. I just got In after "one week" of countless hours and restless night's sleep. I almost exhausted every attack vector I could think of. I was (as I always do), multitasking In between posts on this board.
The moral of the story Is, be persistent with your objective and you "will" get results.

It takes a lot of dedication and can be overwhelming at times.
Nonetheless, I enjoy It.
