As long as Amazon stock It (Inventory), they cannot declined your claim.

So, I should I order the "wrong" item and claim that's what I received? Aren't they gonna ask for me to send it back?

If I'm correct , you order the item you want. Then go to a different shop (so it doesn't show up in order history) and purchase the item that weighs similar. Then send the things that weighs similar back to Amazon claiming that's what they sent you.

Thank you, I'll give it a shot

Exactly this ^

They must stock It In their Inventory. Simply put, as far as you're concerned, they've shipped the Incorrect Item. Given they stock It, unless a stocktake Is done (which It obviously won't for one measly Item), they cannot prove It wasn't sent.

Just picked up the package. They didn't ask for signature, ID or anything. Should I still go for the wrong item received?

They asked for the package number

Even though the package number was requested and obtained, given there wasn't any personal Identifiable Information recorded, anyone could've collected the package.

You can use the DNA, but you may have a bit of a battle on your hands justifying how the package number was known by someone other than yourself. I'd say to stick with the wrong Item received.

I realized I had a old and damaged blue yeti in my room. I'm gonna use that and say that the microphone arrived completely disfunctioning (zaps, electrical shock, poor audio and such).

Also made a couple of holes in the box and made a video with my fantastic acting, pretending to open the box for the first time, just in case I felt like I needed it.

No idea if this is gonna work, but I'll give it a shot.

I'll let you know

Refund complete. Sent them the old blue yeti, they made a "one time" exception, of sending me the refund before receiving the package or proof of me actually dispatching it. However, it's been sent in the original packaging I received.

Thanks for the help everybody

Good work.

I did believe opting for the wrong Item received method Is the best course of action, and It's proven just that.
Well done.
