I have not attempted photoshopping the serial, as they never ask for a picture of the damage / device at all, they ask for shipping details and then as for me to ship back

Yea. I am so disappointed sometimes. I spend all this time and effort to photoshop the serial numbers and then they don't ask for the picture.
Sometimes I obsess so much that the photoshopped image looks more real than the original. lol
But in my case they don't ask for me to send the device back.

Yeah. Its actually a datamatrix code, but most QR code apps can read it.
