Conor has nothing to gain. A win for him is meh at this point after a pretty over whelming loss the first time and another loss just kills his career. He needs to stick with Whisky for now.

"We were planning for Khabib to fight Ferguson in April or May and retire from sports after that", why wouldn't they take the fight with McGregor, secure the $15m then retire?

From what Dana says, it doesn't sound like he's leaving UFC.

yeah dont look like he going anywhere yet at least

perhaps he is worried about his odds and wants to retire as a champ if hes gonna quit anyways might look good and help in other deals after ufc if he retired a title holder....(just guessing)

It appears that Khabib has been spending a lot of time in Dubai since his last two previous matches, maybe simply he got a nice contract and he just decided to retire, add to that the loss of his father. But I admire the guy retiring in his prime. Same with GSP, a lot of great fighters such as Anderson Silva, Ronda Rousey.. just pushed their luck and their career a tad much and now they are just trying to finish with a win. I'm starting to think McGregor might be following Silva root here, his comeback after Khabib fight is a bit premature. I have nothing against the guy but the game changed and a lot young talent are entering the game.

Khabib announcing his retirement is probably a good thing, as he can stay undefeated. I lived in Brazil 10 years ago and they were running promos for Silva back then. He's been in the business a long time. Once fighters hit 40 or so, injuries and health risks are more common.

so true, I don't like watching him, yet I believe he's a kinda smart man, he has managed to build up his image and his career based not only on sports but his "performances" as well, which audience is kinda interested in, dunno why, sometimes his acts are just stupid

McGregor is a slightly better entertainer. Khabib is a slightly better fighter.
