I don't believe that there is a "lockout". About a week after my post I just couldn't get the timing right, it pissed me off and I just kept at, until 20 plus tries later, back to back, I nailed it. I keep going back to the video where I learned the trick from every once and a while and there are entries from both successful and failed attempts where they tried numerous times yet not one comment stated a lockout, it always goes back to code entry screen. THANK YOU for your feedback and glad it worked for you. I still would like a "real" code though. I'm more than likely just going to purchase a new one, get the receipt with the code and return this one for a refund at the giant retailer down the street that herds you in and out. (as smart as Miroir would love to believe they are, they printed the SN on a STICKER on the outside, bottom of the device allowing for .....well,you know) MIROIR CAN TAKE UP ANY ISSUE THEY HAVE WITH THE STORE THAT RETURNS THE "DEFECTIVE" EQUIPMENT. Sorry,it pisses me off to be accused by the manufacture(who has been paid by the retailer for the projector) and then hold the machines use "hostage" to the end consumer. That seems like a class action lawsuit,......but what do I know, other than I'm trying to see how large these actresses assets(they're real so that makes it a nature show)can be viewed.(side note/this projector will, with surprising clarity, display WAY MORE than 50"(on diagonal)

RE: Point-of-Sale Activation - jlawak - 02-28-2019

So I got tired of the "insert HDMI at just the right moment " trick on the Mirior M20. Went to the local retail giant last night and bought a new one ($120 plus tax,?! They were only $100 plus tax when I got the code locked one ,DAMN , A YEAR AGO , it was also the last one in the store went home, took the new one out of the box, put the one I had in the box, went back this morning and returned it, saying I charged it all night long but it would not take a charge, got my cash back and an apology for the inconvenience. The new one(all M20's after a certain date OR maybe a certain production number, can't remember exactly what I read about it, DO NOT HAVE A CODE that has to be entered, and they DO NOT HAVE THE YELLOW PADLOCK LOGO ON THE BOX.The instruction booklet in the box has no mention on a code either. Appears this security measure has been abandoned by Mirror.

I've found a way to get rid of the Voyager III activation. Exact same process as others but the package seems to be named different things on different versions of the Voyager III. I tried this after failing to find the mydisa.c file or any other related files anywhere within the shell I could access without root. I also uninstalled the walmart samsclub and vudu apps as someone posted they could be related, nope. But this worked, it even closed the activation app that was present on the screen when I was in the shell.

You still need the keyboard and to enable USB debugging. Once you're there using previous valuable instructions just start the shell

do:
adb devices
adb shell
pm list packages -f

might have to -grep it to make it for easier reading or to look for disa in the results.
I found "package:/system/app/MyDisa/MyDisa.apk=com.android.ebodalxz.activation" in the results.
so I just:
RCT6973W43R:/ $ pm uninstall -k --user 0 com.android.ebodalxz.activation
Success

I did this after searching through installed apps and system apps that I suspected, but nothing I removed worked until I ran the above commands.
Thank you a ton to everyone who posted here assisting. I believe this to be the only forum having successfully bypassed activation of these damned walmart RCA Voyager 3 RCT6973W43R tablets. With activation uninstalled, you should be good until you go to perform a system restore. I suggest backing up everything then restoring from a custom restoration to prevent this.

Thank you & good luck!

Has anyone figured out the codes for the Garmin Drive GPS. I bought one from Walmart : UPC 7-53759 19588-5. DISa 1003518574. Code on receipt 527044. I bought one from dirt cheap no code. Contacted them and they don’t have one of course. UPC 7-53759 19588-5. DISa 1001995396. Any help appreciated.

I posted them earlier but removed them so that people would not get unwanted spam

anyone that wants references can email me for them at dtvguy68@yahoo.com -  they have all given me permission to use them for references
johndtvguy and all these brand new account friends that are coming out of the woodwork s you need to kindly  move along with all
that...we are trying to help each other out try to figure this out..sad part is probably stumled upon how to generate the code in a forum such as this instead of helping people out still choose to horde info that we're looking for ...how many sales can you possibly loose I doubt anyone here is gonna shuck out $15 bucks and a good word but seems you got all that covered...firmly believe what you do for people be it good or bad it comes back to you...if you have no intention of contributin then just go somewhere else maybe work on s new sales pitch cause it's distracting and annoying... thank you that is all

And yet 2 years later and people still pay me to unlock their Nextbook tablets....I guess I must know what I'm doing
just email dtvguy68@yahoo.com and I will help you

RE: Point-of-Sale Activation - Fayt - 04-21-2019

Its been a while since I have checked up on this thread, but I had a recent discovery while working on an RCA Voyager III tablet that I would like to share. I was able to find the DiSA unlock code to the tablet and this should potentially work with any android device with the DiSA Lock on it.

So the first thing you will need to do is to use an OTG cable and usb keyboard to get in to the settings of the device to turn on USB debugging. This has been discussed before so I am not going to walk you through getting that enabled.

Once you have USB debugging enabled you need to hook the device up to your computer and open a command prompt (If your using Windows). In the command promp type "adb devices" without the quotes to make sure your device is connected properly. On the device you will need to allow the connection to your computer so check the box and hit allow in the box that pops up.

Now restart the device so that it is at the DiSa activation screen asking for the code. Once it is there type in your command prompt "adb logcat" without quotes. Information will start flying through the command prompt and should eventually come to a stop or slow down somewhat .

*WARNING!! You only get so many attempts at the lock so be careful if you have tried entering the wrong code a few times already.*

Next, type in any random 6 digits and hit ok. Your logcat should spew out some more information. You can hit control+C on your keyboard to cancel the logcat so you can go through and see what it recorded.

Not to far up in the logcat you should find something that says "hwid:786173". Your numbers will probably be different, but those 6 numbers are your unlock code.

Lastly, type in the 6 digits found next to your hwid in the logcat in to the DiSa activation screen and hit ok.

You should now be at the home screen and the DiSa lock is gone.

This should potentially work on any android device where you can enable USB debugging and use the logcat. I have only tested it on the RCA Voyager III. If you are worried you have entered a code too many times and don't want to attempt putting in a wrong code 1 more time then there may be another way to find the hwid, but I have not dug into that yet. I will add a screenshot of my logcat showing you my hwid so you have an idea of what to look for. There is a lot of information in the logcat so it can be easy to get lost in it.

Good Luck and feel free to ask any questions or message me. I don't check in here daily so be patient with me and I should get back to you as soon as I can.
