Does Boxing HyperX Work? - karoloydi - 08-18-2018 I have HyperX memory on my pc with life time warranty. I dont have the receipt, but I can make. My photoshop skills are good. They'll probably ask me to return the memory back. Can I box them? Will it work? How about postage? If I used tracked method they might weigh it. If I used post stamps, I don't have proof of delivery. RE: Does Boxing HyperX Work? - mothered - 08-19-2018 (08-18-2018, 11:01 PM)karoloydi Wrote: They'll probably ask me to return the memory back. Can I box them? Will it work? Given the Item weighs next to nothing, boxing Is the appropriate method. I doubt It would register any difference In weight during transit. Will it work? Its very weird. I just started the SE and realised that there is no serial number on Hyperx memory. (they didn't ask for one either) I'm not sure what they do if it goes missing in the post. Cause, if you say it was a present and then it gets lost, there's no real proof that you actual had it in the first place. Now I have to box them. But I have a feeling it is not going to work. They have already included in their email this: "Please note that Kingston is not liable or responsible for any parcels that have been tampered with or lost in transit." Well, I ll try anyway. What do you suggest? Get a tracking number and weigh it, or no tracking number and no weighing? Given you're boxing them, the "lost In transit" Is Immaterial. As for the "tampered with", It does not state anything of the sort In their terms, so that's completely Inaccurate. If It doesn't register a difference In weight, you can opt for the tracking number. RE: Does Boxing HyperX Work? - karoloydi - 08-29-2018 The weight of the ram is quite high. It's 160g (it's 4 modules with quite big metal heatsink). The weight of the box with bubble-wrap and newspapers inside is 110g (without the ram). I think I ll opt for the non tracking option. What do you think? RE: Does Boxing HyperX Work? - karoloydi - 09-07-2018 They are a tough nut to crack. I don't think it's gonna work. I'll try a couple of more emails see what will happen. RE: Does Boxing HyperX Work? - karoloydi - 09-07-2018 First email informing me that the package was tampered and that they are not liable, I replied back and they replied the same thing again, that they are not liable. |
